Helen Wardale has been announced as Sue Platt's replacement as the Lead Manager at Norfolk Governor Services. She will be part of Peter Simmonds team based at the PDC in Norwich and starts in her new role on 16th April 2012.
Helen Wardale BSc (Hons) PGCE
I have lived in Norfolk almost all my life and I have three children who are currently at school in Norwich. I am passionate about life, but in particular learning and releasing potential in others.
Most of my career so far has been working for Norfolk County Council. During the last nineteen years my posts have been in and around Learning and Development. I have a genuine passion for delivering an engaging learning experience for all. My last post was a lead consultant in the Business Priority Team within the Human Resources Shared Service.
Within Norfolk, I have been a governor in two Norwich schools for the past fourteen years (Junior and High School). During that time, I have faced many challenges and know what an important role governors play in raising standards in education within schools. Being in a governor role, I have developed extensive knowledge, realising all the challenges that we face in the fast changing world of education.
This new opportunity for me combines both my passionate approach to learning and the role of governors. I am so excited to have been given this wonderful opportunity to further my love of school governance, not to mention the prospect of joining a successful team in supporting governors across Norfolk.
Having personally developed all my life, I am a qualified teacher and I have more recently qualified as a life and performance coach. My next goal is to become a qualified mediator. All of these skills have given me great experience in challenging situations particularly when seeking resolution.
I cannot wait to commence this new role and help shape the future of Norfolk Governor Services and help in its transformation in readiness for the what ever lies ahead.
